About an hour later he came up to my table again. However, it seemed like he was captivated in his own work so I, once again, brushed off his weird awkward flirting and went back to doing my own thing. What made this situation a little worse is that the guy ended up sitting at the table right across from mine. I know, I should have moved spots or something but the library was packed and there weren't anymore open tables for me to sit at. I made sure he wasn't anywhere near me before going back to my work. That's when I remembered that it was the same guy as before. I looked up and the guy proceeded to mumble that he liked my hat and walk off. About twenty minutes into doing my work I noticed a guy walk up to my table and stare at me. I went to the library today, sat down at a table, and began doing my work. I'm near the end of my third semester and have a huge research paper due in a couple of days that I, of course, have procrastinated on. At least, until today.įlash forward seven months later to today. I didn't see him and eventually ended up forgetting about the incident. I agreed with him but still made sure to be on a lookout for this guy every time I went to the library after this. I also told my friend about this encounter a few days later in class but he said that the guy was probably just trying to flirt with me and really sucked at it. I ended up going home and having an anxiety attack after this incident. I don't know if this is what made the guy back off or not but after that he instantly calmed down, mumbled an apology, and walked off.Īt the time I was constantly having anxiety/panic attacks due to all the stress I was under. He didn't say anything but began glaring at him, too. I glared at him and responded with, "Because I don't know you!"Īt this point the guy at the table next to me had noticed something was up. "I'm not going to tell you my name." I responded. I took out my headphones once again and asked him what he wanted. I was tired of this and really just wanted this guy to leave me alone so I could do my work. He just stood by my table and fucking stared at me. He ended up coming back about fifteen minutes later and proceeded to do the same thing. He started stuttering and mumbled something (I think he was asking how my day was). "Can I help you?" I asked in a rather pissed off tone. I took out one of my headphones and glared up at him. He stood right next to my table and just stared at me. About ten minutes later he approached me. Out of the corner of my eye I could see him watching me. There was a guy around my age walking up and down the book aisles that were right next to where I was seated. After a few minutes of being at the library I noticed him. I was extremely stressed out since I had so many assignments to do and wasn't in the mood to talk to/deal with anyone. This is where the first encounter took place. One Saturday, either at the end of April or early May of this year, I was at the library working on homework. Like I said before, I've been spending hours at the library doing homework since last semester. It has more of a sit-your-ass-down-and-do-your-work environment. I get easily distracted when I'm at my house which is why I go to the library so much. I've been doing this since last semester, too. This also means that I spend a majority of my weekends camped out at the library near my house, working on homework for hours. I'm also a major procrastinator which makes it even more fun. I'm at the end of my 3rd semester and that, of course, means I have a shit ton of assignments to do for all of my classes. Okay, so I'm currently a 20 year old female college student.
